The Paperless Tournament is here!
No more Printing -- Copying -- Handouts -- or Faxing
Just tell everyone where to find your Tournament Page, and they'll find more stats than ever before, rosters, and game schedules for your tournament
How hard will it be to keep this information updated during a hectic tournament? Can you spare 60 seconds per game?

Note: Webcasting is a fantastic tool, but the Paperless Tournament is for every tournament, even if you cannot be connected to the Internet for Webcasting!!

STEPS:
1. Create a Tournament Page. You'll need your CyberSports for Basketball Serial Number for this.
2. On your Tournament Page, list all the names of the Participating Teams.
3. Enter the Game Schedule. Start with the Round 1 games, but enter ALL games for successive rounds as well. For Round 2 games,
you'll be able to select from a list that includes "Winner G1", Winner G2", ..., "Loser G1", Loser G2", etc. Enter all rounds
prior to the start of the tournament, so that you'll never have to update the schedule during the tournament.
You can provide names for each game. Typically, you'd use G1, G2, G3, etc.. For the final round, you may want to put Semifinal 1, Semifinal 2, Championship.
Once you've finished entering the basic information for the Tournament, you'll be taken to Web Central. Web Central is where you will find the links to upload your Team Files and Game files, as well as links for creating additional Tournament Pages.
4. Before the start of the Tournament, log onto Web Central and upload all CyberSports for Basketball Team Files. This must be done before Game Files can be uploaded
5. After each game, log onto Web Central and upload the completed Game File. This takes about 60 seconds, and can be done from any computer (within running distance) that has access to the Internet.

As a result of the above, the following information will be available from your Tournament Page for the Athletes, Coaches, Parents, Fans, and Media:
Rosters for each team, when you upload a Team File
Box Reports for each game, created each time you upload a Game File
Several Tournament Statistics reports, updated hourly
Each time you upload a Game File, the Winner and Loser's team names will automatically be promoted to the next round, on the schedule you created.

A link to your Webcasts, if your games will be Webcast. Note: the above data can all be done even if you are not able to webcast your games!!

HOW TO FIND YOUR TOURNAMENT PAGE:
When you create a Tournament Page, a link will be automatically added to our Home Page. So look on the right-hand side of our homepage. They'll be sorted chronologically, according to the date of your first game.
Alternative method: On our homepage, you'll see a section with a picture of a Basketball & Hoop. On the right-hand side of that section, click on High School, Jr. College, 4-Yr College, or Professional. Then follow the links until you see a page with the name of your tournament on it.

Once you've found your Tournament Page, you can copy the URL from your Browser, and have all of the school's websites link directly to it, so that everyone can easily find your tournament information.
Be sure to notify your contacts in the Media, so that they know exactly where and how, to find your Game and Tournament stats.
Add the URL to your Tournament Program, so the fans can check the stats when they go home.

UPDATING CyberSports for Basketball
If your team is not in Australia:
First, check which release of Version 4 you have.
Click Here to find out how to determine your precise version of the software.
If it shows you have Version 4, but it's older than Version 4.3.4, then you should Order the new CD.

If you are from Australia, please contact ProWess, in Melbourne.

WEBCASTING
Webcasting is not a component of the Paperless Tournament. However, we encourage you to Webcast your games. It doesn't cost you anything, and once you get the hang of it, you'll wish you had started a long time ago. It's fun, and really easy to set up. Essentially, all you have to do is Load your rosters into CyberSports for Basketball, save the game file, log onto the Interent, click Webcast --> Start (from the Game Module). 9 times out of 10, that's all it takes. If you run into any problems, our e-mail addresses are below and we can point you in the direction of more detailed instructions and troubleshooting information. The easiest way to get started, though, is just to try it. Try a test case. You don't need to wait for a real game!

EXAMPLE Tournament Page
Washington 3A High School Girls
Notice the Team Names are links to the Team Rosters
Notice also, the "Stats" link next to each completed game, to display the Box Report
Above the Tournament Schedule, you'll find links to four unique Tournament Reports.
Browse through these reports, that are automatically generated from your uploaded Game Files. Find the top Teams and Players in numerous categories.
Finally, you'll find a link that takes you to all of the Webcasts being done in Tacoma, Washington
Another feature that may not be obvious, is that the game schedule is automatically updated, whenever they upload a completed game file. No manual edits are necessary during the tournament!

OTHER Useful Tools
If you are preparing for a tournament, and you have a lot of teams, you're going to have to type-in a huge number of player names, before the tournament, in order to use CyberSports for Basketball. We can help. We're working on a utility that will enable you to automatically generate all of your Tournament Team Files for CyberSports for Basketball. The first thing we recommend you do, is provide a method on your own website, where your participating teams can enter their roster information. Quit accepting Faxes!!
By doing this, you will have collected all of the information in a compatible format and that will save you a lot of time. Once you've done that, send me a note that you need to have the Team File Creator, and we'll send you the tool. Eventually, we'll have all of this integrated on your tournament page, so that they can enter their rosters on your cybersportsUSA.com Tournament Page --> and that will create the Team files that you can download for recording the stats --> and it will automatically post the rosters on your Tournament Page, so that you won't have to upload those filew. The tournament staff will NEVER have to enter player names. We're going to spoil you!!
